Before establishing QA Mentor in 2010, Ruslan started his career as a QA Analyst at Unicase. Then he moved on to Solbright Digital Solutions as a Senior Lead QA Analyst. However, his tenure at HSBC in 2002 marked a significant turning point in his professional journey. As the Global Test Manager, Ruslan managed multiple global projects and offshore teams with over 100+ testers in 5 countries.
2006 saw Ruslan’s meteoric rise as he joined Sterling Infosystems, Inc. as its Director/Vice President, Global Quality Assurance & Testing, managing 30+ onshore/offshore resources with over $1 million budget. As his journey unfolded, Ruslan embraced another milestone by joining Citi in 2012. Here, his responsibilities encompassed overseeing critical testing phases, ranging from system integration to functional and performance testing, for the WorldLink Global Payment System. This intricate system generated substantial annual revenue, easily crossed borders, and served a vast clientele of over 4000 major corporations and government agencies.
Ruslan holds a graduate degree from Baruch College, City University of New York, and an MBA in Technology Management from Phoenix University of Arizona. Furthermore, Ruslan holds several certifications in quality assurance/ testing and project management and is an active board member of multiple QA Organizations in the United States and Europe. With nearly two decades of experience in quality assurance, quality control, process enhancement, and software testing, Ruslan Desyatnikov is not just a leader; he’s a catalyst for growth and transformation.
